What is the one thing every good musician has, and what is the one thing every aspiring guitar player needs? A good ear. What is a good ear you ask? A good ear is an ear that can hear what is going on within the music that is being played. A good ear is one that can hear chord changes, that can hear the type of chord being played , one that can hear and understand the interval being played from one to note to another. So how do I develop my ear so I can understand what is going on musically? I am so glad you asked. What if I told you…

that not only could you develop your ear to understand what is going on musically, but that you could also learn to develop what is called perfect pitch! What is perfect pitch? Wikipedia explains “perfect pitch” this way: “Absolute pitch, or perfect pitch, is “the ability to identify the frequency or musical name of a specific tone, or, conversely, the ability to reproduce a frequency, frequency level, or musical pitch without comparing the tone with any objective reference tone, i.e., without using relative pitch.”

How would you like to be able to hear someone play a Bb, and know that it is a Bb, without trying to figure it out on your instrument? What if I told you that you could:

NAME exact notes and chords – ALL BY EAR
SING any tone from memory – without a pitch pipe or starting pitch
PLAY songs BY EAR – after just listening to them
COMPOSE music in your head
COPY chords straight off a CD
FIND desired chords BY EAR – instead of searching by hand or eye
IDENTIFY keys of songs – by ear alone
IMPROVISE with ease like a pro
HEAR sheet music mentally – in correct pitch
SIGHT-READ and SIGHT-SING with precision
KNOW if a pitch is sharp or flat – without a reference tone
STRENGTHEN your musical memory
PERFORM with confidence
GAIN richer perception
ENJOY finer music appreciation

Would this ability change your life? Would this ability change your playing? Everything I just said is absolutely possible. Not only is it possible, you can do it yourself! It would change you forever!

Imagine walking into a room filled with musicians and wowing them with this ability. Imagine not even seeing the sheet music and sitting down with a band and playing the song.

All these things are possible only with one Ear Training course and it’s called Perfect Pitch! If you want to be achieve this ability order Perfect Pitch now!

Here is what others have to say about Perfect Pitch:

I am a current student at the University of Kansas majoring in music composition. Thanks for teaching me Perfect Pitch. Although it said it takes awhile to develop absolute pitch, I developed a full Perfect Pitch in just two weeks! I don’t know how it worked. It sort of just happened out of nowhere, like a miracle. (B.B., guitar/piano, Lawrence, Kansas)

You can imagine my joy when I listened to your lessons for the first time, went to the piano, and made the startling discovery of Perfect Pitch! I started crying and laughing all at the same time. (J.S., educator)

I never before thought it was possible to obtain Perfect Pitch, but now I know it is. (T.S., piano)

It’s so simple it’s ridiculous. (M.P., guitar)

This course is the most amazing thing I ever have had since I started to study music!! I’ve been playing for 12 years. (D.H., Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, guitar)

After just a few minutes of your instructions, I could locate an F# by ear — even when it was hidden in a group of several tones! (G.B., synthesizer)

Wow! What an amazing thing! It really worked. I couldn’t be happier. I started last Halloween and can now distinguish all the notes on my piano. Mr. Burge, I am grateful for what you have given me — I feel like a new musician. Since I am a drummer, I am very proud that I could achieve something of this caliber. I feel as if I have a leg up on those who I will be competing with in college. (J.M., percussion)

I am a piano performance major in college and I have just received the ability to distinguish the tones on my piano. This has been a great starting point to my music career. One of first great benefits for me is that I have greater sensitivity to the different feelings in my piano music and can express the finer subtle points. Thank you David Lucas Burge for this seemingly impossible gift! (R. H., piano)

I can now hear and identify tones and the key in which a song is played just by hearing it. My sight reading has improved. I can also recall and sing individual tones at will. My music teacher and classmates are amazed at my advancement! Perfect Pitch is like learning a foreign language. Before, things don’t make sense, and then things become more and more clear as you progress. It’s not just the memorization of a pitch. The pitch colors of the tones have a subtle feeling; every pitch is distinct and has its own ‘personality.’ When I hear music now it has much more definition, form and substance. I don’t just passively listen to music anymore, but actively listen to detail. With Perfect Pitch I can make up my own mind about what and how I feel when I hear music, and also know why I feel that way. (M.U., bass)

When I heard the first lesson I could hear the pitch color differences Mr. Burge described. At first I thought it might be my synthesizer, so I tried other synthesizers. I could still hear the differences. Now I listen more carefully to the sounds of the notes and how they blend together. While working on a piece I was writing, all of a sudden I heard the pitch color of each note. I revised the piece immediately. I’m much happier with it now. (W.H.P., synthesizer)

Burge’s Perfect Pitch training touches the core of musical perception. (D.S., violin/viola, Los Angeles Philharmonic)

The information I received was worth more to me than most of the instruction I had received up to that point. Everyone who plays must know about this. (J.T., guitar)

Someone played a D major chord and I recognized it straight away. I enjoy listening and playing more and I get new musical ideas as a result. (S.C., bass)

In three short weeks I’ve noticed a vast difference in my listening skills. (T.E., guitar)

I’m able to play things I hear in my head a lot faster than ever before. Before I started the course, I could barely do it. (J.W., keyboards)

These CD’s have helped me way beyond what I thought they could. If you are one who believes that Perfect Pitch is something you have to be born with, then you are wrong. You can develop Perfect Pitch. Burge will show you the way to practice in order to obtain Perfect Pitch, he guides you in a unique, motivating way that you would not be able to do on your own. (S.H., guitar)

Never again will I listen to music as before. My playing has improved and I am able to easily transcribe note-for-note many Eric Clapton songs I had wanted to for so long. (H.K., guitar)

I hear a song on the radio and I know what they’re doing without my bass guitar. My improvisations have improved. I feel more in control of what I’m doing. (I.F.B., Costa Rica)

I have already come across situations with others who were strict believers that Perfect Pitch cannot be learned. I’ve been able to prove them wrong every time. It is a privilege to share this information with others and even more of a sight to watch my students developing Perfect Pitch and Relative Pitch themselves. I now believe, more than I had before, that our progress is endless and our potential is limitless. (D.W., Music Educator)

All my music listening is improved quite markedly on the level of happiness, as you pointed out on one of the lessons. (S.H., jazz guitar)

It’s hard to describe. It’s like hearing more of the piece or the different feelings evoked because of the key it’s played in. I can listen to myself better and hear what I’m doing, allowing me to express myself better. It’s amazing how easy and simple Perfect Pitch is. After understanding it, it was like the pitches were at the ‘tip of my ear.’ (C.L., piano)

It feels like I’m singing and playing MY notes instead of somebody else’s notes — like music is more ‘my own.’ Improved delivery because of being able to make more natural music. (L.H., voice/guitar)

I can listen to a song and still hear it hours later in my mind. (D.O., guitar)

The Perfect Pitch Ear Training SuperCourse has helped me in musical dictation and with an ability to write down song ideas in my music notebook in the correct key and with the right notes that I want to say, which expedites my entire songwriting process. Thank you all for this opportunity to use such an effective and powerful tool. (D.W., Port Chester, NY)

Perfect Pitch is an invaluable asset in my musical career. I feel if every musician could hear as I do, they would realize how useful it is and how delightful. (H.M., voice)

I used to sleep in instead of practicing in the morning, but since starting your course I haven’t skipped one day. My improvisations have improved. (M.S., piano/synthesizer)

Over the centuries, Perfect Pitch was a kind of musical Golden Fleece. Now this crucial aspect, absent in formal training, is available for the musician who is interested in expanding his own musical process. (J.J.O., Argentina)

It’s like hearing in a whole new dimension. (L.S., guitar)

It is wonderful. I can truly hear the differences in the color of the tones. (D.P., student)

Mr. Burge has given me the key to what I once considered a closed door. (D.H., Ph.D., voice/piano professor)

I believe! It works just because it’s so simple. (S.P., sax)

Burge brings musicians to the root of their art: sound. (R.C., piano)

The life and breath of feeling part of what we play can be more fully experienced through this knowledge of Perfect Pitch. (D.S., piano)

Perfect Pitch is synonymous with fine musicianship. By fine musicianship, I mean someone who really hears sound as it is. Without this ability (which I feel often separates a professional from an amateur), one cannot fully play in tune, phrase, produce a beautiful tone, and create music that reflects what you are feeling and thinking inside. If one enjoys and knows every note for itself — voila — a delightful and deep experience unfolds. (L.E., voice/harp)

The experiences of recognizing pitches and keys and inner voices of orchestral works and quartets are of great help in aural analysis of major sections. (V.R.M., violin/viola)

I am convinced that a finely tuned ear is the greatest gift that I could ever give my students. (J.F., music teacher)

Perfect Pitch for a musician is more valuable than gold. (E.V., guitar)

It’s strange how some things that seem so hard are so simple. (D.W., flute)

I have already acquired abilities I never dreamed of having 2 years ago, as well as an overall zest for music. You’ve really made a difference in my life. (M.G., piano, Germany)

Last Tuesday night in rehearsal I was listening to the soloist play and I recognized F#. I was so excited that I nearly jumped up and down. The next day in class one boy (after saying he didn’t want to be bothered with Perfect Pitch) said, ‘I can hear it. Wow. That’s awesome.’ You really have something going there. (L.S., Music Professor)

I can’t understand why it’s remained a secret for so long. (B.T., music student)

Although I was at first skeptical, I am now awed. (R.H., sax)

It all boils down to taking the time to listen. (M.B., piano)

This is absolutely what I had been searching for. (D.F., piano)

What a boost for children’s musical education!! (R.P., music teacher)

Thank you for the Perfect Pitch SuperCourse. I did the course ten years ago when I studied piano at the conservatory. I “redid” the SuperCourse recently… I even started to work with some children who I teach piano to listen to the colours. The results are wonderful; children easily know how to do it, once they are taught how to listen. They enjoy it SO MUCH! And what joy it brings to me, teaching them piano, keyboard skills, a bit of basic music theory and… Perfect Pitch.

Last but not least, you can add me to your success-list if you want to, ’cause I can do Aural Recall in a verification round of 20, and more of that.

Thank you so much for everything and I wish you all the best in the world. (S.T., The Netherlands)

I wish I could have had this 30 years ago! (R.B., voice)

This course could replace, or at the very least, cut in half the time lavished on seemingly obsolete ear training courses currently taught. (M.S., music teacher)

Mr. Burge, I am a 56-year old male. I have played the guitar now for 37 years and was unable to hear the changes in the music. I had to depend on sheet music to learn a new song or a piece of music. Just in three lessons with your Perfect Pitch Ear Training SuperCourse, I (as well as my wife) have seen a dramatic improvement in my ability to hear the changes in the music, that just four days prior I could not hear. I am so impressed that I will also be ordering your Relative Pitch Ear Training SuperCourse come next month. Thank you! (D.L., Bath, New York)

The Perfect Pitch Ear Training SuperCourse has helped me enormously. I barely recognize myself — my perception of music has changed so much! I would now love to purchase the David Lucas Burge Relative Pitch Ear Training SuperCourse… (S.C., piano, Dublin, Ireland)

Mr. Burge — you have changed my life! (T.B., music student)

Learn it or be left behind. (P.S., music student)

I Really Just Want To Strum Some Of My Favorites
Are you one of those people that just wants to be able to pick up a guitar and start strumming some of your favorite songs without having to learn a whole bunch of scales, music theory, musical notation, tablature, and every chord in existence? Do you just want to keep things simple and not be “guitar god of the universe?” Are you interested in learning a few simple, easy to learn, easy to play chords, so you can sing along to your favorite oldies? If that’s you, I think I have just the guitar course for you.

Today we’re taking a look at Scott Brooks’ “Quick Easy Guitar” website – the website that teaches you how to play your favorite songs without having to earn a masters degree in music. That’s saying a lot, since everybody is trying to sell you and teach you everything there is to know about playing the guitar.

To begin: I have to say that looking at the material that’s provided, there is a lot here for you to sink your teeth into. The question is: Are you going to learn anything? Will you be able to play the guitar? And will you learn to play any songs when you are done? I set out to investigate.

Now Scott claims that he can teach you how to play guitar in as little as fifteen minutes. Hmmm, fifteen minutes! That’s a BIG claim! Personally, I’m pretty skeptical. Let’s dig in and see if that’s true.

To get you started, Scott has two introductory videos explaining how to get the most out of his Quick Easy Guitar course, how to develop proper hand positioning, and some basic stretching for playing chords. Very straight forward, very easy to understand. Already we’re headed in the right direction.

I Have Never Played The Guitar
Now if you are brand spanking new to playing the guitar, and know absolutely nothing about the guitar, Scott has a video tutorial that breaks down several aspects of playing the guitar – including names of the strings, tuning, picking and more. Even better, if you haven’t purchased a guitar yet, and are wondering what kind of guitar you should get, Scott jumps right in and has a video answering that very question. Not many people step up to the plate trying to answer that question.

OK, back to playing guitar in 15 minutes. Now after going through the course and watching most of the videos, I’ve boiled his secret down to one element. It’s what makes his course so simple to grasp, and I’ll give it to you in one word… positioning. That’s right – positioning. When you play the classical guitar or the piano, you learn to play with correct positioning. Every piece you learn has to be played in the correct and proper position, or you can’t play the proper chords or musical sequence. This is similar to the CAGED system that we discussed in our Jamorama review.

Learn As Much Or As Little As You Want.
However, a huge portion of Scott Brooks’ “Quick Easy Guitar” course members’ area isn’t only for learning simple songs. He also covers a lot of other material besides just playing your favorite songs. For instance, like any other good guitar course, his covers playing the major, minor, suspended, major 7th, dominant, bar, open, and power chords for those of you who want to eventually rock out.

Scott has developed a pretty simplified system to playing guitar, based around chords taken from each position on the guitar neck. Altogether, you walk away with a pretty good understanding of the instrument. Because of his extensive music and song knowledge, he has been able to identify a library of songs that only have 2 – 4 chords, and with his approach, I think you will be well on our way to learning the guitar and some of your favorite songs.

Now here’s the cool part: playing the guitar in as little as 15 minutes. Can you do it? Can you start strumming your first song or some basic chords in as little as 15 minutes? If I hadn’t seen it, I wouldn’t believe it. But yes, it is true. Scott Brooks’ “Quick Easy Guitar” can have you playing the guitar in your first fifteen minutes of picking up the instrument. But there is one caveat! Scott jumps right into learning one of the hardest chords there is to learn. On the flip side, grasp this chord, and you’ve conquered 95% of the chords that you can play.

All in all, Quick Easy Guitar is the perfect guitar course for the beginning guitar student who wants to start strumming some simple songs almost from the beginning. Even better, once you sign up, there is a ton additional material that you can learn if you decide to pursue the guitar on a deeper level.

Finally, one of the best things about this course is its cost. As of this writing, full access to the material is only $19.95 a month, but Scott Brooks has a sale going on right now and it’s only $9.95 a month. That’s the cost of two Starbucks coffees. I highly recommend that you jump on board before the price goes back up. If you are on dial-up, Scott also has 2 double DVD sets that are also on sale right now. To order the DVDs click here.

Does Quick Easy Guitar make the grade:
So, should you buy “Quick Easy Guitar” by Scott Brooks? Guitarlessonreviews.net gives Quick Easy Guitar an absolute yes. We think Scott Brooks will show you the most effective way to learn some simple songs and that you will grasp the new material fairly quickly.

Learning scales from a book on your own can be a real drag. Practicing them can be quit dreary and boring. But today we are going to look at Guitar Scale Mastery by Craig Bassett.

Let me ask you new budding or somewhat experienced guitar players the following questions.

Do you feel overwhelmed by the amount scales there are to learn?

Do you struggle with using scales musically?

Do you see scales as neck-board patterns not musical notes?

Do you struggle with moving to different positions of the fret board?

Do you struggle with applying scales to real-life playing situations?

Learning scales from a book on your own can be a real drag. Practicing them can be quit dreary and boring. But today we are going to look at Guitar Scale Mastery by Craig Bassett.

Craig Bassett says “you can learn scales at such a deep level, that they’ll “become a part of you”, you’ll be able to use them without thought, that you’ll be able to improvise no matter where you are on the fret board, and that you’ll be much more confident as an improvising guitarist.” That’s a pretty hefty statement.

We had the opportunity to go through Guitar Scale Mastery and here is what we found.

Guitar Scale Mastery offers a blueprint for those wanting to learn how to play the guitar. There are some basic steps offered before you even get started. The first step that Craig Bassett says is the most important step before beginning is to set your goals. He instructs you to make a commitment to the website to learn. He also informs the student to think about any questions that he or she may have about scales and to think about what they actually want to do with the scales. Craig also mentions thinking about the scales that you most want to master. He recommends devoting at least thirty minutes with this first step.

Bassett also requests that you fill out a survey to see if online learning is right for you. He then requires the reader to read the lessons. The lessons consist of Understanding the Musical Alphabet, Understanding Sharps and Flats as well as lesson 1 and 2 of Understanding the Major Scale, then reading lessons 1,2 and 3 of Understanding Scale Degrees. Even if you understand the information already, he asks that everyone read the lessons.

The next set of instructions tells you to read the practice techniques that will help you absorb what you are learning from Guitar Scale Master. There are five references to read that cover the big picture technique, super slow practice technique, the chunking technique, five-minute practice technique and the visualization technique. The readings are simple to understand and absorb.

The next step that Bassett requires is that you learn the system. This step will teach you how to learn the scales the same way that the author did. In order for you to learn the scales, he has you practicing on one scale. Craig feels this is the best way to learn and master the scales. Guitar Scale Mastery takes skill. Without the proper techniques for learning, it is a hit and miss he feels.

He has made a downloadable checklist that will help the student absorb the system. Bassett feels that once someone masters the first scale, the rest will follow easily. The sixth step is effectively applying the system to the next scale. He feels you should master one scale at a time. Therefore, Craig recommends choosing another scale, any scale and applying the same techniques you used to learn the first scale to learn the second scale.

He does say that if you are unfamiliar with the C major scale, this should be your first step before moving on. More lessons will be added over time, but for right now the seven lessons that Craig Bassett have available can work for learning scales.

The lesson for Understanding the Musical Alphabet is rather easy to understand and absorb. He has very detailed pictures of the fret broad. This part of the lesson plan is detailed. It will contribute to learning the musical alphabet. It might take time, but this where your concentration is tested.

Guitar Scale Mastery includes Understanding Sharps and Flats. The diagram that Craig displays for learning this lesson are detailed with one diagram for flats and one for sharps. Both diagrams show the natural notes in comparison to the flats and sharps.

Lesson 1 of Understanding the Major Scale is the most important scale to learn. Without understanding this lesson, you will not move forward. Craig gives the formula for whole step and half step on the fret broad. The diagram is detailed with an observation chart that you need to understand. You will then download a worksheet to do. If you understand what you have learned, the worksheet will not be confusing at all. Lesson 2 examines more about the scales, but also gives you some examples of what different names are for different scales.

Understanding Scale Degrees is broken down into three lessons. Lesson 1 explains what scale degrees are and how you can easily understand them. Craig uses diagrams throughout this lesson as he explains the different degrees of scales. There is handout to test for what you have learned before moving onto lesson 2. Lesson 2 goes onto explain and refresh what you have learned so far. The diagrams and explanations do make learning the scale degrees easier.

In lesson 3, which is the final lesson, you will see diagrams and learn the benefits of understanding the scales. After these lessons, you should have a good understanding about scales and have them memorized without hesitation.

Craig Bassett has delivered a well-written tutorial for learning the scales for playing the guitar. Someone with knowledge about guitars or how to play them will learn everything there is to understanding the different scales.

This is for you guitar players that are still fairly new at playing guitar. Chances are good that, you’re learning to play on your own, you still don’t know how to tune a guitar, and you haven’t developed your ear enough to know if you’re in tune or not.

If that’s true of you, then I have an excellent website for you to check out.

Recently we were contacted by Thomas O’Connor of Howtotuneaguitar.org, and he asked us to take a look and tell you what we thought of his online guitar tuner. Friends, we’ve seen lots of guitar tuners on the Internet over the last 10 years, some were good and some had major shortcomings. Generally speaking, they did a decent job of giving a good pitch, but the interface usually was terribly lacking and required some amount of instruction on how to use it.

Well, we are happy to tell you that we found a guitar tuner on the Internet that not only gives you good pitch for tuning, it has an excellent, straight-forward, easy-to-use interface that really requires no instructions at all. But it gets even better. It also has several other tunings programmed into the guitar tuner as well. For instance, the custom tuning feature lets you choose the notes you want to tune to. Excellent!

Thomas O’Connor also has an entire page dedicated to teaching you how to tune your guitar with step-by-step instructions. Furthermore, he gives you the instructions for numerous “how to” alternate tunings, and he doesn’t charge you a single penny. We certainly like free!

Thomas O’Connor, our hats are off to you. You have got one of the best guitar tuners that we have ever seen for use over the Internet. Your instruction is right on the money, and the price is absolutely the best.

So you want to know if “Jamorama Lead Guitar” the complete multi-media lead guitar learning method… is any good?

You’ve seen the name all over the internet, ads and banners everywhere, links on thousands of people’s websites, and tons of videos touting how good Jamorama really is. So what is all the hub bub about “Jamorama Lead Guitar“? Will it really teach you how to play lead guitar? Is Jamorama a master marketing machine, or does it really live up to its hype?

Well friends, we’ve had a chance to crack open “Jamorama Lead Guitar” from Ben Edwards and read it from cover to cover. Today’s review takes an in-depth look and dissects the myth from reality and tells you if you’re wasting your time, or if it is truly a guitar course worth the investment.

Ben Edward’s Jamorama comes in two editions. One for the beginning guitarist and one for the guitarist that already has some experience under his belt. This review is for the lead guitar instruction.

Jamorama Lead Guitar:
Currently (as of this review) the “Jamorama Lead Guitar” book is 102 pages crammed full of not only lead guitar instruction, but tons of tricks that will impress the most novice of players, and it’s accompanied by 43 step-by-step video lessons to reinforce what you are learning in the book. (More on that in a moment.) All of the lessons within the book have been written in guitar tablature for ease of learning.

The crux of the instruction teaches the guitarist the CAGED system. If you already know how to play open position chords, C, A ,G ,E and D, guess what? You’re nearly halfway there to knowing all the shapes. To make things even easier for you, Ben has provided in the book a “KEY or Symbol System” to introduce new or difficult concepts as you progress. This way you know when you need to listen to the audio or video, play along with the Jam Tracks, or if there is something of importance that you need to remember.

Here are just a few of the tricks you will learn to eventually master, from the Jamorama Lead Guitar course:

Hammer-ons

pull-offs

slides

whole bends

half bends

ghost bends

consecutive bends

Octave playing

runs

motifs (Not many courses cover this)

vibrato

legato

and a lot more if you complete the whole course

The 43 Step-by-step video Lessons:
Five years ago using video over the internet as a training tool was not the best experience for most users. Using dial up and a 56K modem, you could expect to wait anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour just waiting for your video to download. Let alone having the right tools such as QuickTime, the Real or Windows Media Player, and having them configured properly to work with the video you’ve downloaded.

Today things are a lot different. Technology on the Internet has changed for the better and Ben is capitalizing on those changes to serve up some solid educational instruction for the guitar.

There is no substitute for having a live one-on-one teacher going over your lessons and teaching you how something is to be played. When a personal teacher isn’t available, the next best thing is video! While going through the book, we also reviewed the accompanying video lessons. Initially not knowing what to expect, we were delighted to see that videos had been professionally recorded, edited, and were quite easy to download.

What else comes with the lead course:
This course , “Jamorama Lead Guitar” kit specifically targets the experienced guitar player who wants to take his or her soloing ability to another level.

The course also includes 29 Jam Tracks in a variety of musical styles. These include 12 bar blues, minor blues, slow country, fast country, metal, modern punk, classic 60s rock, modern rock, pop/folk, ska/reggae, jazz and 50s style rock ‘n roll. Once you jump into these jam tracks, you’ll be able to play and learn in context with the course materials. Not many instructors tie these styles together while teaching you lead guitar.

Free Bonus Software:
Jamorama Lead Guitar comes with some nice bonuses when you order the course. We were equally surprised at the quality of what Ben Edwards was giving away for free solely for trying his guitar instruction.

Jayde Musica: A pretty cool game designed to help you learn how to read music. Included is the PRO version of this game with Jamorama Lead Guitar for your enjoyment.

Jamorama Metronome: (A must -ave for your practicing) Designed specifically to keep you in time throughout the Jamorama Lead Guitar course. GuitEarIt!: A new computer game that trains your ear to identify all the various guitar chords. We believe “GuitEarIt!” will fast track you to playing your favorite songs by ear!

Guitar Tuner Pro: Tuning is a huge problem for most beginners. This software will solve your tuning problems with easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions.

Technical Support: Most guitar websites DO NOT offer any kind of support once you purchase their product. We were pleasantly surprised to not only see that Jamorama offers Technical Support, but upon using their support, they responded pretty quickly to our requests. Not that we really needed help.

OK guys that all sounds nice and good, but what if I’m not happy with my purchase? Jamorama Lead guitar comes with an eight week/60-day money-back guarantee. In our humble opinion, that should be enough time to evaluate the guitar course and decide if you can learn anything new. If not, ask for your money back.

Does Jamorama make the grade:
So should you buy “Jamorama Lead Guitar” the complete multi-media lead guitar learning method. Guitarlessonreviews.net gives Jamorama a resounding yes. We think Ben Edwards will show you the most effective ways to practice so that you can grasp the new material quickly, without developing the bad habits of many guitarists.

The “Jamorama Lead Guitar” – the Ultimate Lead Guitar amd Soloing Kit is only $39.95. That equals one guitar lesson from a one-on-one lesson.

Presentation: A
Material: A
Quality: A
Usability: A
Shipping: A (Download)

Ben Edwards did an excellent job of breaking down playing the lead guitar, organizing it into simple to follow, simple to understand, easy to grasp lessons.

Our recomendation: A Strong Buy
In your pursuit to improve your skills, and learn a new style of playing, I have something sweet and simple for you.

If you have the basic skill level to play guitar, can play bar chords, can keep tempo with a metronome set to 65bpm, know little or nothing about Blues, and want to learn the basics of playing Blues Guitar, then spend a moment of your time and take a peek at a no-frills, straight-to-the-heart, easy-to-use, easy-to-learn, blues guitar website, called “Playing Through the Blues with Griff Hamlin“.

Griff Hamlin has been on the scene for 20 years playing as a professional guitarist, bassist, singer, teacher, and songwriter. He’s studied music at the USC Thornton School of Music, has played on several independent albums and countless demo recording sessions. He has also performed in many different countries around the world including Poland, Korea, Italy, Turkey, and Lithuania, released two 2 blues-rock style cd’s, and is very fluent in many styles of guitar including rock, blues, jazz, country, classical, and flamenco.

In his own personal quest for materials that would help him to grow and expand as a player and teacher, Griff could never find any reasonably-priced lessons or materials that would satisfy or exceed his expectation.

His thirst and passion to keep striving to improve as a player and teacher inspired him to create a unique approach to laying down the foundation of blues, utilizing audio and video over the internet, while systematically layering each lesson upon the previous lesson to give you a basic understanding of the blues over a two to five-week period.

The intent of course is to learn “blues single string theory”, but you have to learn the foundational theory of blues first. Crawl before you walk, walk before you run, you get the picture.

What is most striking, is the simplicity of his lessons. Griff only tackles one or two elements at a time during each lesson thereby making it really easy to assimilate the info. One of the things I really struggled with early in my own playing in regards to blues single string theory, was when to use the minor blues or the major blues scale while soloing. Chapter ten of Griff’s book, goes into this issue and demonstrates it really well. If you haven’t been playing very long, don’t let the content of each page fool you and scare you off; it looks hard, but like I said, Griff Hamiln did a superb job of KISS! (Keeping it simple stupid)

So the question you’re asking yourself, what’s in it? Playing through the Blues comes with a 50 page book choked full of all kinds of useful tips and tricks not only for playing the guitar in general, but covering all the basics to playing blues guitar. Each lesson is accompanied by an audio and/or video file that you download when ready and if you can’t read music, the book includes TAB, but standard notation is also used in all of the examples.

Playing through the Blues also comes with a technology introduction video on how to use the different files and formats, and how to get the best use out of the audio and video available. If you are fairly computer savvy, you probably won’t need it, but for newbie’s, it’s a good place to start.

Also included: Over 65 minutes of solid, broken down blues theory video lessons. 20 bonus “turnarounds” with easy to understand ending licks, 10 jamtracks, including chord charts, and my favorite, “Lessons from the masters”. Griff gives you solos from Eric Clapton, Albert King, and B.B. King, with rhythm tracks to practice, chord charts to see the chord and licks, and video breaking it all down, it’s hard not to like Playing through the Blues with Griff Hamlin.

Just some of what’s covered in this Playing though the Blues course:

How to solo over the entire fretboard using five patterns

How to use the blues and pentatonic guitar scales

How To Use Blues Scales Patterns To Create Solos

How to understand the chord/scale relationships in the blues

How to play blues bends, including 1/2 step, whole step, and 1 1/2 step bends

How to incorporate cool tricks like Hammer-Ons, Pull-Offs, ‘Tweedlies’, into your soloing

How to use hammer-ons and pull-offs within your solos to increase your speed

How to pull off pinch harmonics (guitar squeals)

We’ve all seen the traditional blues DVD/Book sets that cost as much as $200! Griff Hamlin gives you everything for the cost of one private guitar lesson, and whenever there are updates to his web site, you have immediate access to all the new material

for life. Pretty haard to beat that!

What I love about the Internet some much is:

NO wait time for shipping

NO “please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.”

NO shipping costs

NO possible damage from shipping

Any product worth it’s weight, should include some form of money-back guarantee. Griff Hamlin does just that. Actually he goes against the grain and gives you a 56 day money-back guarantee. Not a 30 or 60 day money-back guarantee, But a 56 money-back guarantee. Why? Because it stands out from among the crowd of products offering the same thing.

56 days stands out loud and clearly letting you know, “if you aren’t happy, or are un-unsatisfied, you have a 56 day money-back guarantee. That’s better then the normal 30 days, and to top it off it’s unconditional! So touch it, play with it, use it, digest it, assimilate it, make it apart of you, and if you’re not 110% happy, do what I would do, get your money back.

Playing Through The Blues by Griff Hamlin will give you all the single string theory fundamentals to Playing Blues Guitar. Today, guitar lessons range from $25.00 to $100.00 per hour. For the price of one private lesson, you can have a life time of access to everything you need to get started Playing Blues Guitar.

So does “Playing Through The Blues” make the grade?

Presentation: A
Material: A
Quality: A
Usability: A
Shipping: A (Download)

Griff did an excellent job of breaking down the blues and organizing it into simple to understand, easy to grasp lessons.
